UK trailer manufacturer Andover Trailers, has introduced a new lightweight tri-axle step frame with beavertail, which it’s targeting at companies looking to transport plant, pavers, rollers and access machines.

The first of the new SFLT 44 models, which have an unladen weight of just 8.7 tonnes, was recently delivered to Warton Freight Services. Transport Manager at the Essex based firm Dave Woodham, said, “We wanted to expand our customer base, but there was no way we were getting anything this big and heavy on one of our flatbeds. This new step frame trailer is a spot-on addition and is proving to be a true workhorse in the fleet.” Woodham says the step frame is operating at least five days a week, performing up to seven deliveries and seven collections a day all over the UK.
