Mercedes has proved to be the preferred new vehicle choice of Irish truck operators for the second year running.


SIMI figures for 2010, show that 161 trucks were registered across the Actros, Axor and Atego ranges, giving the company a close on 16% share of new truck sales. DAF was next in line on 147 units with Volvo selling 118.

    Total new heavy commercial vehicle registrations for 2010 were 1,020, down 11% when compared to 2009.
