If you have ever scratched your head, moaned and grumbled about moving something big on to a truck, then consider this problem.

Swiss company Voser Transport AG, might not have had to move an actual mountain, but it was pretty close. They were contracted by SwissWinds Development, to transport the assembly pieces of a massive wind turbine to the highest position that a wind power plant has ever been assembled in Europe, some 2465 metres above sea level. The job was made even harder by the need to negotiate the Nufenen Pass, the highest mountain pass in Central Switzerland, including nine hairpin bends.

Special heavy-load equipment from Scheuerle was used for the meticulously planned operation, including, an extremely compact 4-axle InterCombi semi-trailer combination, with slab deck featuring a special lifting and lowering blade adapter. By lifting, it meant the 35m blades could negotiate a bend of a 30m diameter.
