Following three successful events staged to date, the Waterford Truck & Motor Show promises to be even bigger and better in 2015.

The show takes place on the weekend of 16/17 May. The family focused programme will see the addition of new attractions such as a Food Village and an indoor Farmer’s Market.   And for the second year running, the Waterford Truck & Motor Show organisers are committing all proceeds to the Waterford Hospice Movement.

Fleet Transport magazine is the official media partner to the Waterford Truck & Motor Show. Mark Lonergan on behalf of the organising committee stated; “We are delighted that Fleet Transport has come on board to support the Waterford Truck & Motor Show in aid of the Waterford Hospice Movement. We held a very successful truck run and exhibition, two very successful  static shows, and  as a result of the amount of support from the industry and the huge public interest, we have decided to bring the show to the next level and are delighted to have Emily Smith as our new Marketing Manager to help put that professional edge to the event,” added Mark.

To date, the two-day show has attracted a growing number of exhibitors and attendees from throughout Ireland and the UK on the site that spans 63 acres. Visitors and exhibitors are in the main key people within the Irish road transport industry represented by truck, trailer, light commercial and car sales dealerships, plus providers of professional services to the aforementioned sectors. Subject to interested numbers, there is a possibility that a mobile leisure section will be established to display motorhomes, campervans and caravans, etc. A line-up of model trucks is planned which will be of interest to young and senior enthusiasts. With the number of attendees increasing year-on-year, Mark said; “From the day it was conceived, it was important to the committee that this annual event became a firm fixture on the calendar for those involved in the road transport and motor industry in general. They wanted to provide their visitors with an opportunity to network with their industry colleagues, benefit from commercial opportunities, share their passion, meet with industry suppliers and network with captive customer base.”

All the proceeds of the event donated to the Waterford Hospice Movement, Mark added; “We appreciate the great work by the Movement which provides medical and nursing care for patients with life limiting illnesses, in their own homes and in nursing homes throughout Waterford City, County and South Kilkenny.” “The 2015 show will maintain all the family focused activities ensuring that the whole family are kept entertained.”
