In early June, German refinish paint company Standox exhibited at Automechanika Dubai for the first time. The event was used to highlight the latest product innovations and support services available to customers in the region.

Olaf Adamek, Brand Manager Standox EMEA, was very happy with the brand’s presence at the trade fair. He commented, “One of the reasons why Automechanika Dubai is important for us is that it allows us to reach existing and potential customers for whom a trip to Germany would just be too far. The widely received positive feedback and the many good discussions we had on the stand show that our decision to exhibit for the first time was the right one.”

The 60th anniversary of the Standox brand this year was a fitting opportunity to highlight the brand’s power of innovation through pioneering products and services. Amongst others, the stand, which was in the German pavilion in Hall 7, focused on the Standohyd Plus VOC compliant waterborne system, on the fast drying Standocryl VOC-Xtreme Clearcoat that adapts flexibly to climatic conditions, as well as on the web-based colour retrieval programme Standowin iQ which together with the electronic Genius iQ spectrophotometer,  makes colour management simple. To the great interest of visitors, the interactive MiKEY training programme, which opens up a host of new options for in-house bodyshop training, was demonstrated live on the stand.

Automechanika Dubai has become increasingly significant over the years as the largest platform for the automotive industry in the Middle East and Africa. Adamek says: “The repair quality of high end vehicles is a key topic in Dubai and neighbouring regions. As a brand with very good contacts to the automotive industry, it is important to demonstrate our expertise as a specialist in high quality paint repairs. In doing so we also highlight the development of paint technologies in the OEM industry.”
