To help technicians identify leaks in automotive systems, Ring has introduced the RIL3100, a UV inspection lamp together with a range of special UV dyes. These can help detect leaks in oils, fuel, coolant and air conditioning systems as well as surface water leaks.

Computer diagnostic equipment cannot pin point leaks in various vehicle systems so detection using UV equipment is the best solution, especially for smaller leaks. The Ring system is quick and effective and even works on invisible leaks such as air conditioning gas.

The RIL3100 lamp is an addition to Ring’s award winning range of inspection lamps. It combines a massive 1000 Lux Inspection lamp with a UV lamp and a LED torch function, making it an ideal all in one solution for portable lighting needs.

A powerful magnet on the base and two hooks on the back allow for hands free working, while an impact rating of IK08 means it is extremely durable.

Four UV dyes are available in single measure bottles. These glow fluorescent to highlight even slight leaks and are available for; Air Conditioning Systems (RLD1), Coolants (RLD2), Water Ingress (RLD3), and Engine Oils (RLD4).

The A/C leak detection system is especially useful for building A/C service business as we enter the spring months.
