Quinton Hazell, one of the best known, and best loved, brands in the automotive aftermarket is making a return to the Irish market with plans to make its presence bigger and better than ever.

Quinton Hazell has been synonymous with quality, range and availability since 1946, and has worked with the CD Group in Ireland since Stuart Knox signed his first contract with Sir Eric Quinton Hazell himself. Since the QH brand was bought by Peter Schofield’s enormously successful Tetrosyl Group, a huge investment programme has gone into re-launching the brand.

From a standing start, QH’s new management have put together an outstanding team, comprising the best of those from the old QH alongside some respected names from across the wider industry.

Julie Boardman, one of the category managers at QH and a brand stalwart for ten years, has been hugely impressed by the swift development. She says, “We’ve gone from completely empty shelves at the end of last May to having the biggest range QH has ever had. A superb new website has been built from scratch, stunning new packaging designed, sourced and delivered in record time and experienced and enthusiastic new colleagues are joining as soon as they’re needed.”

She adds, “None of this would have been possible without the commitment of our new parent company, Tetrosyl, who are a real breath of fresh air. They are approachable, willing to listen and are really putting their money where their mouth is. The response of our suppliers old and new has been great and they all want to be a part of this exciting new chapter in QH’s history.”

Andy Lees, sales director for QH added, “We have new distributors joining us all the time as well as much more established ones coming back, of which one of our longest standing and best known has to be CD Group. I can’t tell you how encouraged we have been by all of their enthusiasm to work with us as we strive towards achieving our ambitious targets. Hundreds of new SKUs are arriving on the shelves every week across all categories as we build up to QH’s biggest ever product range. There are products that we are introducing that QH have never stocked before and we are getting suggestions from our customers all the time for more still.”

QH was re-launched in Ireland last month by exclusive wholesale distributor, for the whole of Ireland, CD Group. The largest wholesale business in the sector in Ireland with over 180 employees, warehouses North and South of the border and a their own large fleet of vehicles, they are the only place in Ireland for motor factors to obtain Quinton Hazell parts, as well as TJ Filters and CI ignition components.
