The new Mazda2, the fourth member of Mazda’s current model generation with SKYACTIV technology, is now on sale in Ireland with first customer deliveries to be made in March 2015.

Pricing for the all-new model will start from €15,995 with CO2 emissions from just 89g/km (Tax Band A2, ART €180) and will be available in three engine derivatives, SKYACTIV-G 75PS or 90PS and SKYACTIV-D 105PS with a four level specification grade structure.

Together with a SKYACTIV body, chassis, and manual and automatic transmissions, it also gets the company's innovative MZD Connect in-car connectivity system, a class-beating range of i-ACTIVSENSE active safety technology and a remarkably spacious and refined interior.

Featuring the signature 'wing' front grille and predatory headlamp styling which instantly identifies it as the latest addition to the Mazda family, the company's all-new supermini goes against the trend in B-segment styling in favour of a dynamic, muscular, cab-rearward design which incorporates a longer wheelbase with smaller overhangs to maximise interior space.

On-board, extra shoulder, knee and legroom space is complemented by improved seat comfort and bold, clear, coherent instrumentation and switchgear, with superior ergonomics. Within a four level grade structure - SE, Executive, Executive SE and GT- a range of premium interior finishes raise the bar for quality and craftsmanship in the B-segment.
Amongst the most remarkable features of the all-new Mazda2's cabin are its user-friendly layout and a level of cutting-edge technology unique to the class. A 7-inch touch-screen combines with a rotary Multimedia Commander to create an enhanced human-machine interface (HMI) offering extremely safe, intuitive interactivity and infotainment control.

Tony Howarth, Managing Director, Mazda Motor Ireland says:  "The all-new Mazda2 represents a huge leap in refinement and practicality versus the outgoing model.  With features and equipment not offered by any of our competitors it sets a new standard for the segment.  The all-new Mazda2 has been upgraded to enjoy the same premium feel as its sister models and our engineers have once again shown their obsession with challenging convention by developing a larger car which weighs less than its predecessor.  I am convinced this car will be a hit with the Irish public.”
