GS Yuasa Battery Sales says it remains open for business following the latest measures taken with regards to the COVID-19 outbreak.

GS Yuasa provides critical parts for vehicles that are required for essential commuting and the distribution of goods, including for cars, light commercial vehicles and heavy goods vehicles such as trucks, buses and coaches. GS Yuasa batteries are also a key component for a wide range of critical power and emergency back-up infrastructure. These batteries provide essential stand-by power and energy storage for a wide range of applications including telecoms, security alarms, uninterruptible power supplies and renewable energy.

As a supplier of critical products, GS Yuasa says it will remain open to service these requirements and continues to do everything in its power to maintain a high level of service and availability.

To comply with the latest government recommendations, all GS Yuasa office and field-based employees who can now work from home are doing so. Stricter hygiene and site access measures have been introduced alongside a split shift policy within GS Yuasa’s distribution warehouses – limiting personnel numbers and the risk of potential virus transmission.

As a global company, GS Yuasa are continuing to review the current status of their manufacture and supply base, implementing countermeasures where necessary to reduce any potential impact. All factories worldwide are operating as normal with a minimal risk of disruption at this stage.

The company says it will provide further operational updates on social media at; Yuasa Battery on Facebook, Yuasa Europe on Twitter, GS Yuasa Battery Sales UK Ltd on LinkedIn.
