MG Cyberster set to make Goodwood debut The new all-electric MG roadster

Traditionally the MG name was associated with classic sports cars, but in more recent years, since the sale of the classic brand to China’s SAIC Motors, it has been more about functional EVs. That is about to change with the introduction of the new MG Cyberster next summer.

The car will make its debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed this weekend, both as a static display and taking on the famous hill climb.

The new design was created by the London based SAIC’s advanced design studio. It will be a world first, as a pioneer of all-electric roadster design from the ground up. It has also been created to pull on the heart strings of traditional MG fans as the brand celebrates its centenary.

The car is a convertible, with classic styling. Underneath, the Cyberster will offer some 450hp and be capable of 0-60 in under three seconds. The price is expected to be around €70,000.
