Colm Quinn are delighted to announce that they will be bringing BMW back to Galway with a fully fledged dealership in a prime location on the Tuam Road, at the former Excelsior Garage site.

Planning Permission has been granted for the new dealership and building work is planned to start in September with completion scheduled for early 2014.

John Ives, Managing Director, BMW Ireland has commented:  “This new investment by Colm during a time of significant economic uncertainty is a vote of confidence in the BMW brand and builds on the success of his existing operation in Athlone.  We wish Colm and his team continued success with this exciting new development”.

Colm Quinn Galway will comprise of an eight car showroom, a 12 bay workshop as well as over 50 external used car display spaces and will create a minimum of 25 new jobs in Galway when operational.

This is a very exciting expansion for Colm Quinn Athlone, Irelands fastest growing BMW Dealership.  The Dealership opened its doors in 2009 and after just 4 years, has grown to employing almost 50 people.

This year has been particularly rewarding for Colm Quinn as they have picked up a number of high profile awards.  The business has won both the SIMI Dealer of the Year 2013 and SIMI Retail Operation of the Year 2013 as well as being awarded BMW Financial Services Dealer of the Year.  The Dealership has been awarded Best Presented Business in Athlone from Athlone Tidy Towns Committee and Colm himself has been awarded “Manager of the Year 2012” in BMW’s International “Excellence in Sales” Competition.

The team at Colm Quinn are very much looking forward to opening their Galway Dealership and bringing the Colm Quinn Experience to BMW customers in Galway and the surrounding areas.   Recruitment will commence over the coming weeks.
