Ring has redesigned its award winning range of PowerPacks, giving them a modern, unique and distinctive look. The new PowerPacks have the primary function of starting cars with flat batteries, but they can also charge and power everything from tablets and smartphones to cool boxes and music players via the high speed USB or 12V sockets.

With cold weather affecting batteries and drivers relying more and more on electronic gadgets in their cars, Ring say it makes sense to carry a portable pack in the boot of a vehicle. To meet differing needs, Ring offers a range, split between three standard PowerPacks and two high capacity PowerPacks. This choice of units ensures customers select the correct unit for the job required.

The standard 17Ah units provide 650A of jumpstart power for vehicles up to 2.0L engine size.  For vehicles with larger engine capacities up to 3.5L, 4x4s, diesel engines, 12V Light Commercial vehicles and professional users doing lots of chargers, the high capacity units are recommended.

To ensure the units are the safest available, all come with reverse polarity protection and crocodile clips that are fully insulated.  Reverse polarity displays if the unit is incorrectly connected to the battery, so preventing harmful damage to the battery or electrical system.

Two units offer 230V household mains power through in-built inverters, to charge a wide range of mobile devices without the need for multiple adaptors. Two of the standard PowerPacks also come with the added feature of a built-in air compressor, ideal for inflating car tyres in an emergency or for leisure applications.

For convenience all the new PowerPacks except the entry level unit in the standard range come with a charging station.  This is important as PowerPacks require regular charging to ensure the battery inside is able to perform at its optimum capability. The charging base provides owners with a convenient dedicated charging point to help them get in the habit and best practice of always charging after use.

Ring products are distributed by Strongline and available from stockists nationwide.
