The IFRS is to offer support and run a workshop, on the increasingly complex area of employment law and health and safety.

Health & Safety regulations now require all employers, even the smallest businesses, to carry out written risk assessments and appoint a “Competent Person”, to be responsible for health and safety. Breaches of health and safety regulations, can result in criminal prosecution and personal and corporate fines. Businesses also run the risk of ruining their reputation.

The IFRS has teamed up with Peninsula Business Services, to offer members telephone support on employment law and heath and safety issues. They are also planning to run a workshop on the subject shortly.

For more information call the IFRS on 01-276-2607.
