Ireland’s fuel prices have once again hit all time record levels. From January to February, diesel rose by another 1.3% bringing it to an average cost of €154.40.

With this in mind any tool that focuses the mind on fuel cost reduction must be of interest to anyone that operates trucks, vans and commercial vehicles.

Tyre company Goodyear Dunlop, has introduced a new calculator tool designed to help operators with fuel savings and efficiency. The Fuel Efficiency Calculator, (www.fleet-calculator.eu), allows you to see the effect of factors such as tyre choice, driver training and aerodynamic retrofits on fuel bills and CO2 emissions.

The website also has some useful fuel saving tips for truck operators.
