AkzoNobel Car Refinishes (ANCR) is to provide its unique StickerFix adhesive repair system to the SRSport  team, after becoming a technology partner of the FIA World Touring Car Championship (WTCC) contenders.

Launched last year, StickerFix is a do-it-yourself solution for minor nicks and scratches which offers an easy alternative to touch-up pens and other consumer scratch repair systems. It’s ideal for WTCC vehicles such as SR-Sport’s turbocharged SEAT Léon 2.0 TDI car, as teams have just 15 minutes between races to repair incidental damage and return to the start line.

“I’ve never seen anything like it,” says SR-Sport team driver and two-time independent WTCC champion Tom Coronel. “The hi-tech film is coated with the same paints as those used on my car, so the colour match is perfect. Additionally, the film can be cut to size and applied to damaged areas of the vehicle for a nearly invisible cosmetic repair, so the engineers just have to select the size needed for the surface repair, clean the surface, apply and that’s it. It’s fast, easy and very high quality – perfect for our needs.”
