Laser Tools has added a new solution for working on the VW Group 09G transmissions. When there is need to split the drive shaft from the transmission, Laser now offers a special drive shaft wedge tool, part number 8139. 

Manufactured in aluminium, the tool is specially designed to reach between the gearbox casing and the drive shaft, meaning a few steady hammer blows will force the wedge tool between the casing and the shaft, popping the shaft out.

It is 262mm in length and equivalent to OEM T10161. Applications include: VW Jetta (from 2005) and Passat (from 2006). 

Laser recommends that it is always used in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.
