Mercedes-Benz are back in the winner's enclosure ­ this time with their new generation Atego.

Rated tops in the regional distribution category at the recent Fleet Transport Truck awards, the new Atego is set to become an even more familiar sight on Irish roads following its recent Irish launch.

The full range was praised by the judges for its 'nimbleness' around city centre traffic and its drivetrain characteristics.

Popular amongst food, fashion and household goods distributors, the Atego is said by Mercedes-Benz commercial vehicle sales manager in Ireland, Fergus Conheady to be a "first class successor to the previous Atego and one likely to carve an even larger share of the highly competitive distribution segment".
