Making a big impression on the Schaeffler stand at Automechanika Birmingham was the LuK GearBOX, a complete overhaul solution for passenger cars and LCVs, which simplifies manual and double-clutch transmission and differential repairs.

Schaeffler say that with LuK GearBOX independent garages can avoid sending customers to dealers or transmission specialist. It allows technicians to replace the most important wear parts in both manual and double-clutch transmissions as well as differentials. Each LuK GearBOX contains all of the necessary components required to carry out a complete and professional repair.

Besides the usual wear parts like gaskets, O-rings, shaft seals and main bearings, it also contains components identified as popular causes of failure for that specific transmission application. Initially, 14 LuK GearBOX references will be available, with over 20 new versions to follow during 2017 to fit additional gearbox types from Ford, GM, Renault and Volkswagen.
