LIQUI MOLY additive combats E10 fuel issues
Share:

Last year most Irish forecourts switched to E10 petrol, a fuel with increased organic content that is more environmentally friendly than previous unleaded. All cars made since 2011 are compatible with E10, and most made before this can run on the fuel. However, some older vehicles can experience performance issues with E10 and in some instances it can even damage an engine.

There is also some concern that E10 petrol increases the potential for corrosion in the engine and fuel system even in newer compatible cars.

Problems that are associated with E10 fuel in any vehicle can be combated by E10 Additive from LIQUI MOLY. For example if the vehicle is frequently driven over short distances, or the injectors are dirty, ethanol can become even more enriched in the motor oil than with conventional petrol. This leads to poor oil lubrication and potential damage.

Also deposits in the fuel system, for example, on the injectors, can also form with E10. The LIQUI MOLY additive removes the deposits and prevents new ones from accumulating. It also offers highly effective corrosion protection.

The modern, ash-free fuel additive improves combustion and smooth running, and has a positive effect on acceleration in the partial-load range. E10 Additive contains no organometallic compounds and can be used in both 2-stroke and 4-stroke engines.

LIQUI MOLY E10 additive can be purchased at stockists nationwide.
