Delphi Technologies, has won the accolade of ‘Training Scheme of the Year’ at the CAT Awards in Manchester.

The aftermarket event was attended by 150 guests, including British Touring Car Championship winner Colin Turkington and was hosted by James Cannon.

Delphi held off strong competition to capture ‘Training Scheme of the Year’ courtesy of an expert judging panel.

“I’m proud to accept this award on behalf of the team,” said Luke Garratt, Technical Services Manager at Delphi Technologies. “It’s already been a fantastic start to 2023 and we have some exciting plans so it’s great to receive this level of industry recognition.”

The judging panel had indicated that they were looking for ‘value’ in training as well as evidence of ‘innovative training methods and quality assessment’.

Delphi created their market-leading ‘Delphi Technologies Academy’ for online learning. Since launching in September 2021, the platform has grown to now offer over 300 courses and modules to over 1,200 users.

Face-to-face training is provided in Delphi’s state-of-the-art facility in Warwick. There are a wide range of modules that can be tailored to learners’ needs or mapped to the requirements of recognised IMI qualifications.

The training centre includes Delphi’s aftermarket engineering centre as well as classrooms and workshops with a full range of vehicles, test-rigs, workshop equipment and example parts. There’s particular focus on the emerging technologies aftermarket technicians need to prepare for.

Delphi’s blended learning ethos is evident in its EV offering, where demand is booming. Technicians build a foundation of pre-learning in their own time, before completing classroom and workshop training within the centre.
