Sogefi, an OE supplier of the new diesel fuel filter for the Ford Transit 2.0l engine range, has introduced an aftermarket version, CoopersFiaam FA6793ECO.

Sogefi was chosen by Ford to supply this diesel engine filter adhering to the latest emission regulations and biofuel compatibility, taking in consideration the high requirements in terms of robustness and service life in order to meet users’ expectations.

The filter media has been designed to offer very high filtering efficiency for particles down to four microns, ensuring a very long life of the high pressure pump and the injectors. The filter also features unique Diesel3Tech+ technology that provides extreme protection against water contamination in the fuel, preserving both engine reliability and injection system from rust, wear and malfunction.

This technology separates water droplets (down to 10μm) from fuel and stores water in a dedicated water tank. Once maximum water level is reached, a water in fuel sensor lights up a warning light on the dashboard and in this way separated water can be removed from the water tank through the drain screw.

CoopersFiaam filters are distributed in Ireland by Strongline Autoparts and are available from stockist nationwide.
