Citroen and Peugeot rear disc fitting tip

First Line Ltd. has issued a useful tip concerning the fitting of new rear discs on certain Citroen and Peugeot vehicles.

Through its Borg & Beck brands top tips series, they point out a common issue that can cause a problem when fitting the rear discs on the Citroën C3 and C4, and Peugeot 207,208, 2008, and 307. Technicians need to be aware that there is an ABS sensor that needs to be cleaned up when making the replacement. A build up of rust and corrosion may have moved the sensor a few mm out of position. If neglected, when the new disc is fitted it may damage the magnetic ring, as in the image.

First Line issues regular Top tips technicians on its Facebook page.
