Flexibility, advanced technology and the need to future proof a bodyshop business, are all considerations that have meant increasing numbers of bodyshops in Ireland have invested in the latest CTR9 fully automatic welding system from Car-O-Liner.

Car-O-Liner representative in Ireland Theo English says that more and more bodyshops have installed the system, which has also been attracting the attention of training centres and colleges as they seek to show new industry recruits the future in welding. He comments, “The CTR9 can totally transform the welding process in a workshop making it faster, easier and more efficient. The equipment has a light-weight transformer gun with a 355° swivel handle and ergo-grip, which is supported by a fully adjustable telescopic arm. This means the gun is amazingly easy to manoeuvre and allows for welding in normally hard to access areas.

The intelligent CTR9 can automatically establish the required settings to ensure the proper weld nugget for the job and it can deliver up to 16,000 Amps power output. Control is made straightforward through an intuitive LED panel. 

The equipment can be upgraded using a USB port and has the option of special software which allows users to easily create work orders and document them in log files that can be printed off as required.
