Autojob is a new business based in Clonakilty, Co. Cork concentrating on the in-demand service of DPF restoration and cleaning and cleaning of selective catalyst reduction units (SCR) and three way catalyst units (CAT/DOC).

The company has been established by Justin O Brien, a third generation family member of the motor trade and a very experienced and highly qualified technician who is also a Bachelor of Engineering Technology in Automotive Technology & Diagnostics and an Institute of the Motor Industry member with Advanced Automotive Engineer status. He says, “I set up Autojob, to provide a cost effective, correct cleaning solution for those who wish to clean as opposed to replace the DPF. I also wanted to provide a an environmentally responsible service where the act of illegally removing the DPF's core and applying cheat software to the engines ECU no longer needs to be an option.”

Prior to the intense cleaning process using a self contained Flash Cleaning machine, units are inspected and pressure tested. After the process the result is 98% near new condition which is returned to the customer with an accompanying check sheet recommending further repairs and checks to perform prior to refitting.

Justin stresses that the filters are cleaned thoroughly in a non-destructive way, without cutting and re-welding, something which negates any questions asked come NCT or CVRT time. He comments, “Some workshops might find the prospect of removing a DPF to clean it as daunting, but it offers a great additional revenue stream. With retail customers now becoming ever more environmentally conscious, this is an ideal opportunity for garages to gain extra buisness.”

Autojob provides a free nationwide collection and delivery service with a quick turnaround. Prices to clean a DPF from a car up to an LCV are fixed at €200 plus VAT. All cleaned items include a 12 month warranty.
