The Original Equipment Suppliers Aftermarket Association (OESAA) is to distribute 3,000 free ‘Back on Track’ packs of workshop essentials to independent garages. 2000 similar packs developed by founder OESAA member Schaeffler, were snapped up in a matter of days during May.

The packs include a floor sticker and marking tape for maintaining social distancing, PPE items including a washable mask, hand sanitiser and a hi-vis vest, large format A2 posters and mirror hanging air fresheners which help to remind both staff and customers about guidelines.

As COVID-19 restrictions ease, independent garages are reporting strong demand for services, something that is likely to build even more as people make greater use of their cars. As this happens, the ‘Back to Work’ packs can help garages develop a professional safety-first culture to reassure customers they are safe as motorists return in greater numbers.

OESAA has also produced an interactive training session on the latest guidelines. This generates a Certificate stating the garage is ‘COVID aware’ and following guidelines. You can complete the e-learning at https://oeparts.typeform.com/to/Qffotjvj.
