Owners of BMW classics can now take the love of their vehicles to a new level by acquiring an official birth certificate.

BMW Classic has introduced a “Birth Certificate” for owners in a new digital format. It gives them  information about how the love of their life left the factory, including chassis and engine numbers, production and delivery dates, as well as optional equipment on cars since 1980. The certificates also come with a digital signature as authentication.

BMW Classic says, “The birth certificate will give answers to all questions concerning the history of the vehicle in question, including individual items of data. It also replaces the earlier manufacturer's certificate.”

The new format replaces the Vehicle Certificate that was previously available from BMW Group Classic. It can be ordered for€125 from BMW classic by filling out an application form at: https://www.bmwgroup-classic.com/en/offers-and-services/classic-center.html

Owners need proof of ownership and photos of the chassis and engine numbers to make the request.
