See the light on new bulb opportunities with Ring

In the September issue of Autobiz there is an insert from Ring, produced in partnership with its Irish distributor Strongline, which highlights the up-sell business opportunities that its range can offer.

Major technological advances now means that bulb replacement can offer greatly increased choices and business opportunities.

With the nights drawing in and driving conditions getting worse, demand for bulb replacement will be on the rise in the coming months. By offering replacement upgrade options, both garages and bulb stockists can increase their lighting sales revenue, stand out from the crowd and improve customer satisfaction.

The Ring insert highlights three up selling opportunities:

Xenon HID Bulbs - once the preserve of luxury cars but you will now find them on a wide range of more mainstream vehicles. The Ring HID range means customers can have OE quality replacements without the expense of a dealer visit. Garages also benefit from increased revenue and Ring supports the range with training tools and fitting guides.

Xenon Ultima bulbs - give drivers the opportunity to trade up on normal halogen bulbs, producing 120% more light than a standard bulb. This greatly improves visibility and gives drivers more time to react to danger. These bulbs are easy to fit and require no changes to wiring. Customers who fit these higher value improved performance bulbs, quickly see the benefits and do not generally go back to standard halogens.

Long Life Bulbs - Many modern vehicles have a measured voltage higher than 12V to cope with the additional electric functions. This higher voltage can mean the need to replace standard 12V bulbs more often. Ring’s Long Life Bulbs offer better resistance to higher voltage and potentially last up to three times longer than standard bulbs. These are especially useful where a car has an automatic lighting function.
