NGK Spark Plugs was once again highlighting its motorsport pedigree appearing alongside the world’s leading vehicle manufacturers and teams at the Autosport International show at the Birmingham NEC recently.

Throughout its illustrious history in motorsport, NGK has been associated with leading Formula One and World Rally teams, but pride of place on the stand this year went to a very different machine. It was the Dragster of drag racing star Andy Robinson, a seriously fast 3000hp V8 Pro Mod Camaro. This can accelerate from 0-239.05mph in just 5.968 seconds, a staggering five times faster than a Bugatti Veyron.

Visitors to the NGK stand also got the chance to competed on a simulator of Goodwood’s famous Hill climb for a chance to win a PS4.

Mark Hallam, Marketing Manager, NGK Spark Plugs said, “Shows such as Autosport International give us the opportunity to demonstrate our motorsport heritage and also meet members of the public who use our parts daily in their own vehicles.”
