Faster job turnaround, reduced dust and the highest finish quality are the compelling reasons why an increasing number of bodyshops in Ireland have made Mirka Iridium their number one abrasive choice. The innovative abrasive has been designed with a new precision coating to speed up the sanding process, cutting faster and more efficiently while also repelling dust.

Dust can cause huge problems in a bodyshop, impacting on the health of employees, causing issues with job quality and producing abrasive clogging which slows the sanding process and means more abrasive material is required. Mirka’s Iridium’s multi-hole design and non-stick coating avoids loading or pilling from the dust, so the grains stay sharper for longer and the dust extraction is faster and more efficient. This means a cleaner, safer bodyshop as well as higher quality jobs in quicker time.

The composition of the Iridium abrasive also features a blend of ceramic grains which allows the initial cut to be more aggressive and longer lasting, while producing a consistent scratch pattern for the lifetime of the abrasive. This makes the sanding process noticeably easier and more efficient.

Iridium is available in both discs and strips, with a full selection of grits which allow the abrasive to work well on both soft and hard surfaces. It also features a flexible backing that offers excellent grain adhesion and no loss of the grains, even when folded.
