MEYLE-HD has introduced new replacement tie rod ends that will allow independent workshops to offer a quality enhanced repair to owners of popular Nissan, Opel and Renault minibuses or vans. The new suspension parts feature an enlarged ball diameter and a specially formulated high-performance grease to provide for increased durability.
Steering and suspension parts are subject to extraordinary load levels, especially on minibuses and vans. Heavy loading, poor road conditions and climatic effects resulting from ozone, moisture and salt take an additional toll on these parts lives. Suspension parts are safety-critical components meaning t stability and durability are a prime concern. The MEYLE-HD tie rod ends feature a larger ball head than conventional designs. This allows the forces acting on the ball to be distributed more efficiently, thereby reducing the surface pressure applied on the ball joint's plastic socket.
Jointly with Fuchs Lubritech GmbH, a leading manufacturer of high-performance lubricants, the MEYLE grease has been developed to deliver excellent compatibility with the steel, plastic and rubber materials making up the joint. Under all operating conditions, the grease provides for a constant lubricant film between the ball pin and plastic socket thereby ensuring smooth movement in the ball joint.
All of these refinements have been integrated in the new MEYLE-HD tie rod ends designed to fit the Nissan Primastar, Opel Vivaro, Renault Espace IV / Laguna II / Trafic III and Vel Satis. The products are available under the MEYLE part numbers 16-16 020 0011/HD and 16-16 020 0012/HD.
