Bulb replacement is a fast growing business sector of the automotive aftermarket with big potential for upselling and added value. To help garages to be fully aware of bulb replacement options Hella has introduced a new online bulb configuration tool.

The simple to navigate tool can be accessed in the online services section at www.hella.com/bulbs, along with lots of other tools and useful information. The tool helps the user to quickly and easily find the right bulb for any particular model, covering both passenger cars and commercial vehicles. You simply select the vehicle make, vehicle model and year of construction and the bulb to be replaced and tool provides information on the available options.

The tool will list part numbers and performance characteristics of the various options available, which for cars may include; standard, longlife, performance, design and xenon, where applicable. It also provides a product illustration. It also features a compare mode where the user can see the difference that each bulb option has on brightness and distance in a driving situation.

The easy to use tool not only ensures that a garage can make sure it is fitting the correct bulb for a vehicle, it also allows them to see the upgrade options available and offer customers a greater choice and improved product performance and safety.

The Hella bulb selector can be accessed at www.hella.com/bulbs
