Ronan McDonagh appointed as new technical director at FIGIEFA

European aftermarket representative body, FIGIEFA, has announced the appointment of Ronan McDonagh as its new Technical Director. Irishman, Ronan, has extensive experience in the field of automotive telematics, having worked for many years for Pioneer and Aisin in the automotive sector.


Ronan has an engineering background and experience in product development, project management, product management and product planning in the OE, Aftermarket and connected service domains. He has lived for the past 25 years with his family in Brussels speaks fluent French and has a working knowledge of Japanese.

Ronan’s appointment follows Neil Pattemore retirement from his consultancy work for FIGIEFA who have thanked him for his outstanding work over the last ten years. He handled all technical issues expertly and offered the ability to present complex issues in an understandable way. His knowledge, experience, commitment and personal authority earned him great respect and he was an outstanding protector of aftermarket interests against great pressure from vehicle manufacturers.
