When it was announced in February that Autobody Ltd had become the Irish distribution partner for the iconic Blackhawk brand of bodyshop equipment, owner Theo English anticipated some busy months ahead demonstrating new Blackhawk equipment and meeting the many existing Blackhawk customers across Ireland. The Coronavirus crisis meant these plans had to be put on hold, but as bodyshops have got back to business, Theo has once again taken to the road to promote the Blackhawk range.

Autobody is now providing full sales, technical back-up, training and support for Blackhawk from its Clonmel base and Theo says as bodyshop rebuild their business, interest in Blackhawk equipment has been strong. He comments, “With audits back up and running there has been a sharp rise in demand for calibration services and also during the lockdown many operators have had a chance to access their equipment and see where improvements can be made. We can some time help with giving older equipment a new lease or life, or provide brand new equipment to help boost efficiency.” He adds, “There has been particular interest in the new Blackhawk range of competitively priced welding equipment including mirco processor controlled Inverter Spot and MIG/MAG Welders.”
