Automatic transmissions continue to feature on more and more cars and these systems require servicing just like an engine or braking system. Some garages avoid such work, but more and more are now finding a simple solution in the form of Automatic Transmission Service Kits from German parts specialist MEYLE.

The Hamburg-based spare parts manufacturer offers more than 200 oil change kits for automatic transmissions. These contain all the necessary components required for a perfect oil change in one box, with filters, seals, screws, drain/intake plugs, magnets and the right amount of transmission oil. This means that technicians do not have to spend time sourcing individual products.

The kits continue to grow in popularity meaning MEYLE is continuously expanding its portfolio of MEYLE-ORIGINAL oil change kits which is currently covering more than 11,000 vehicle applications of all common transmission manufacturers.

A special highlight within the oil change range is the MEYLE-ORIGINAL oil change kit for the Mercedes gear automatic transmission 7-G Tronic and 7-G Tronic plus. It contains the special Combi-Media and Smart-Media-Triple hydraulic filter, which corresponds to the specified special code A89 for friction reduction. The filter is characterized by four different filter media that are tailored to special and current vehicle applications and ensure the absorption of ultra-fine particles that are
produced in the transmission. This oil change kit was developed by MEYLE engineers as a reaction to the high market demand.
