NGK RaciNGK Team celebrates victory at the Ring

The NGK RaciNGK Team is celebrating winning the latest round of the 250-mile Veranstaltergemeinschaft Nürburgring (VLN) endurance challenge.  The team took first place in the SP8 category for vehicles up to 6200cc and with one race still remaining this season NGK has already committed to continuing in 2016.


At the world-famous German Nürburgring racetrack, the NGK-branded red Ferrari Challenge 458 managed to secure second position on the grid before powering to victory in its class. The team has enjoyed a successful debut season in the VLN championship having secured three second places and one first place over eight races.

Marko Wowczyna, Automotive Director, NGK Spark Plugs (UK) Ltd, said, “Endurance racing and series like the VLN really put our products to the test and it is great to see the RaciNGK team performing well against strong competition. The team delivered a top performance and our congratulations go to everyone involved in this tremendous success. NGK is delighted to continue in VLN next season and wish the team good luck for the final race in the 2015 season.”
