GS Yuasa, the manufacturer of both GS and Yuasa batteries, have announced the launch of GYTV, the new name for its engaging and educational battery learning videos. GYTV initially features two distinct series, covering battery basics and trade-focused advice and is available to watch on YouTube.

Bringing together a wealth of experience from the GS Yuasa team, the videos, which have been developed for both consumers and trade professionals are easy to understand and organised into logical playlists to ensure a seamless viewing experience. Both series will be made available for GS Yuasa’s customers to use, whether online, across social media or in their reception area as part of the manufacturer’s package of value-added-extras.

Delivered in a friendly and informative way, battery basics answers the internet’s most frequently asked battery questions. Aimed primarily at consumers, the series covers everything from how to know when a battery is failing, to how to choose a replacement and how it should be installed.

The trade-focused video series provides a more in-depth look at batteries and the vital role they play in a vehicle’s electrical system. Aimed specifically at those in the trade, this dynamic, trade-focused content has been taken from the award-winning GS Yuasa Academy, the CPD and IMI accredited online training platform which has proven hugely popular with technicians, distributors, and educational institutions alike.

GS Yuasa has plans to expand the battery basics series with more informative content for all of their key applications including commercial vehicle, leisure and marine in the not-too-distant future.

Jon Pritchard, General Sales & Marketing Manager - Auto, MC & Ind Comp Division at GS Yuasa Battery said, “We know there’s room for improvement in general battery knowledge. With battery technology changing rapidly over the past decade, what may have previously been regarded as common practice can now be far from it. By answering the internet’s most frequently asked questions we’re hoping to empower consumers and vehicle technicians to take charge of battery issues should they arise.”

The complete series will be available to watch on GS Yuasa’s YouTube channel, which can be accessed by clicking here.
