Automotive component supplier and vehicle systems developer FTE will be at the Frankfurt International Motor Show in October showing the innovative contribution it is making to vehicle sustainability, emissions and economic efficiency. In particular the company will present intelligent product solutions such as active and passive actuators for transmissions and applications for hybrid and electric vehicles.

One of the innovations on display will be a lightweight design Gear Shift Module, featuring integrated position and speed sensors. This is made from high performance plastics and meets the highest demands on dynamics, precision and reliability. Its reduced weight can make a significant contribution to emissions and cost reduction.

FTE developments in Electric Transmission Oil Pumps will also be on display. These are again lightweight and due to their modular design and their use of high-strength lightweight plastics, these pumps are very compact and offer customised solutions that can be tailored to vehicle needs.

Electrohydraulic and Electromechanical Actuators will also be featured. Based on FTE’s modular toolkit system of electric transmission oil pumps and integrated valves for controlled oil distribution, these actuators are characterised by compact design and economic efficiency. The actuators can be used to operate clutches in conventional transmissions, for hybrid applications and for differentials.
