The increasing popularity of electric vehicles means that servicing and replacement of the very heavy and cumbersome battery packs is a new challenge for workshops. Technicians need a safe and easy-to-use solution and this can be provided by new electro-hydraulic table lifts from Laser Tools.  

Two models are available, one with 1 tonne capacity (part number 8524) and the other with 1.4 tonne capacity (part number 8525). They are 230V-powered mobile electro-hydraulic table lifts, with adjustable and tilting lifting platforms, which allow easy access under the vehicle for disassembly and removal of EV battery packs, or even internal combustion engines and transmissions. 

The lifts are fitted with a composite wooden table surface, with specially milled openings to enable easy access for battery fasteners, EV connections or transmission mounts.

The heavy EV batteries can be safely lowered and then transported across the workshop as the lifts feature four steering castor wheels with two braked. The adjustable tilting table top ensures easy and straightforward alignment of the battery when refitting. Both lifts are equipped with double hydraulic cylinders, low friction polyethylene sliding bearing blocks, anti-crush stops to prevent trapped hands, dead-man control, and retracting 5 metre mains cable. Made in the EU, these lifts are CE and UKCA compliant.
