Continental has added a new complete kit, including water pump, for the replacement of the timing belt on many important Kia and Hyundai applications.  

The new Kit (Part No. CT1237WP) with water pump is suitable for over 400,000 vehicles on the European market, including the Ireland’s best-selling car of recent years, the Hyundai Tucson and the Kia Sportage, which has also been a huge top five seller since its introduction. 

Up to now, when larger Kia or Hyundai models that came into the workshop to have their timing belt changed, it meant that technicians had to order the water pump, which it is compulsory to replace at the same time, separately from the belt. However, for added convenience and time saving the new CT1237WP timing belt kit comes complete with water pump and fitting accessories. The kit also comes complete with Continental’s customary ‘Made in Germany’ seal of quality and five-year guarantee. 

Added to this the timing belt for the main drive, on some engines needs a second belt for the oil pump. Continental also has solution for this in the shape of the new CT1237WP2PRO kit that includes the oil pump belt as well. This means mechanics have everything they need instantly to hand.
