Ignition specialist NGK Spark Plugs says it is continuing to supply customers with its market-leading products during the current coronavirus epidemic.

Mark Hallam, Marketing Manager, NGK Spark Plugs said, “We are working closely with our supply chains and logistics partners to continue to deliver orders to in effect maintain ‘business as usual’. At present our stock and delivery capacity is not affected in any way but we are obviously monitoring the situation closely.”

NGK components include:

Spark plugs - NGK works closely with its motor factor partners to make sure they stock an up-to-date range of components to deal with the requirements of their garage customers and the local vehicle parc and also the seasonal demand for their products.

Glow plugs - Many part numbers are brought into the aftermarket from the OE side of NGK’s business. The range comprises metal glow plugs as well as the latest New High Temperature Ceramic technology – which can reach temperatures of 1350 degrees C and hit 1000 degrees C in one second. The vast amount of R&D carried out in conjunction with vehicle manufacturers constantly ensures NGK meets new challenges head on and its focus is firmly on quality from the design stage to distribution.

NTK sensors - NGK is the world’s largest manufacturer of Lambda sensors and supplies a market-leading range to the aftermarket under the NTK brand name. NTK Lambda Sensors are the No.1 choice of vehicle manufacturers around the world. NGK says the experience it has in supplying the VMs worldwide allows it to offer exactly the right sensor for every vehicle application. The company’s sensors’ offering was recently enhanced by the introduction of 20 new wide band Lambda sensors, commonly referred to as ‘5-wire’ Lambda sensors, to supplement its existing range of 64 NTK OE 5-wire sensors.

The company also added to its sensors range last April with the launch of camshaft and crankshaft sensors, comprising more than 200 specific part numbers with excellent Irish vehicle parc coverage.
