Laser Tools has introduced a new Impact Power Bar that it says offers many advantages over the traditional impact driver.

The new tool provides a convenient solution to problems such as corroded or frozen fixings, for example, over-torqued wheel nuts.  It allows for the operators hands to be kept well away from the hammer, while the 370 millimetre bar places increases leverage on the fastener, far exceeding what can be applied with a standard impact driver. This keeps the socket or driver bit snug against the fastener and stops rebound so that the full force of the hammer impact is transmitted.

Laser says the Impact Power Bar is especially useful with smaller fasteners, where using a standard tool with too much force can cause a break off. With the impact power bar the sudden shock as well as the strong rotational force will release the most stubborn of fasteners of all sizes. An impact absorbing composite handle also means the tool offers added safety.
