Charlie Martin takes on a prestigious milestone in her driving career as she prepares for her first laps at Circuit de le Sarthe supporting the 24 hours of Le Mans. The Brutal Fish Racing team will use her strengths in the car to shape race day strategy around safety cars, pit stops and driver changes.

Charlie will be sharing tarmac time with fellow team mate Jason Keats, where they will both have test and qualifying laps before getting down to the business of fast paced racing in the Lamborghini Super Trofeo.

The NGK-sponsored driver said, “Racing at Le Mans is a landmark moment for any driver, it’s such a legendary track. To be on track in front of 300,000 spectators on Saturday morning before the main race gets going will be pretty wild, after months of preparation I cannot wait to get there!”

The road to Le Mans has been paved with successes and challenges at Spa last month, scoring a podium in race one, then securing class pole and getting hit from behind on the opening lap of race two.

“We knew this exciting milestone was coming up for Charlie this year, and now it's here we can’t wait to back her all the way,” comments Becca Knight, marketing manager of NGK brand owner Niterra UK Ltd. “Le Mans is such a notable date in the racing calendar because of its unique competition style, and we know that Charlie will bring all her skills and knowledge together behind the wheel to get a great result.”
