First images of the car that will replace the Nissan Micra have been shown for the first time. The new model, due out next year, is likely to retain the Micra name and will first be launched in Thailand next March. It will then roll out in 150 other countries using the same basic platform right across the globe.
Unlike the current Micra, the new model will not be built at the Nissan UK factory in Sunderland, but will be made in India and other Asian locations. The Sunderland plant will in future concentrate on the Note model and variants and perhaps future electric vehicles.
