SIMI launches service & parts campaign
Share:

SIMI has launched a media campaign aimed at promoting the regular maintenance, servicing and repair of vehicles. This will be a national campaign designed to encourage motorists to keep their cars in good condition through servicing and repair by professional garages.

To coincide with this activity, the Society's Wholesalers Committee has also organised an advertising campaign in the motor trade press, designed to highlight the vast range of original equipment and matching quality parts that are available to both franchised dealers and independent garages from their local motor factors.

The range and depth of parts available from motor factors right across Ireland is vast and offers a genuine independent alternative to car manufacturer parts. What is more, under EU Block Exemption regulations (set to be extended), a huge number of these components can be classified as original equipment or parts, which are certified as matching OE quality. This means that they can be used on in-warranty vehicles for service and repair without invalidating the warranty or compromising on quality.

The parts campaign adverts will appear in the trade press over the coming months and motor factors are encouraged to support them through their own localised activity and product promotions.
