Renault Group in association with Patrick O’Brien Renault Mullingar and Sean White Car Sales Athlone are pleased to announce the sponsorship of Westmeath GAA for the next three years.


The sponsorship deal will see Renault Group as the main county sponsor for the football and hurling teams from minor to senior level, including provision of vehicles for the term.

Patrick Magee, Country Operations Manager, Renault Ireland: “Renault Group is delighted to support Westmeath GAA through our two local established dealers in Mullingar and Athlone. Westmeath has been a strong county for Renault and Dacia through O’Brien’s and Sean Whites and both dealerships will work together to maximise this sponsorship deal. We wish the county all
the best at the various levels in both football and hurling in 2014 and in the years following”.

A new jersey design is currently being developed and will be unveiled in the coming weeks.

The future is bright for Gaelic games in Westmeath, with strong club teams throughout the county. As a sponsor, we hope to assist with the growth of Gaelic games in the county and help Westmeath GAA as best we can over the next three years. “

Sean White, Dealer Principal of Sean White Car Sales Athlone: “I’m delighted to be associated with this sponsorship of Westmeath GAA having been involved in one way or another with the GAA all my life. As a proud member of the first championship winning Garrycastle team, I am very excited about this sponsorship deal and look forward to being involved with Westmeath GAA for the next three years.”

Sean Sheridan, Chairman, Westmeath GAA: “Westmeath GAA is very proud to be associated with the Renault Group. We are delighted that a global brand through its local dealerships has come on board to support our teams and we feel it is a very positive step forward for Westmeath football and hurling. It gives us a great boost at the start of a new season and we are now looking forward to a successful three years ahead.”
