Ignition and sensor specialist NGK has been honouring members of its sales team. The original equipment supplier of spark plugs, glow plugs, NTK Lambda and other engine management sensors, presented awards to its top sales performers of 2019 and 2020 at its recent mid-year conference.

Recently retired Steve Padbury took the 2020 accolade from runner-up Paul Gair, who received the 2019 title, with Karl Pearce in third place. Karl was runner-up in 2019, with John Money in third position.

NGK Spark Plugs Managing Director, Marko Wowczyna, who presented the prizes, said, “The COVID-19 pandemic meant that we had to hold a belated presentation to the sales team, all of whom have performed impressively over the past two years in what have been very challenging trading conditions. It was fitting that Steve was named 2020 Salesman of the Year in his final year with the company, narrowly finishing ahead of Paul who took the 2019 accolade.”
