Mondello Park and the Irish Drift Championship have announced a new date for the 2014 Monster Energy backed Jap-Fest Modified Car Show which will include the final round of the 2014 Irish Drift Championship and a celebration of ten years of Irish Drifting.

The new date for the Monster Energy Jap-Fest event will be Sunday September 28th with IDC qualifying and Semi-Pro competition on Saturday 27th.

The change of date has been arranged to ensure that Jap-Fest does not clash with any other International events in order to give IDC the chance to once again invite the world's top drivers to Ireland to see if they can end Irish Drifting's ten year undefeated streak.

Jap-Fest will be the final event of the 10th anniversary celebrations for Irish Drifting, which kicked off at Rosegreen in Tipperary in 2004. In the intervening years Drifting has grown hugely in Ireland, which is now seen as one of the most influential nations in world drifting, with Irish drivers achieving success all across the globe.

For the 2014 IDC finale a number of past stars and champions will be invited back along with all of the Irish drivers currently competing Internationally and additional star names from around the world. Details of the line-up will be announced in the coming weeks, along with news of the other attractions which will make up the 2014 Monster Energy Jap-Fest show.

For further updates see the IDC and Mondello Park facebook pages, or sign up for show alerts on the Mondello Park web site www.mondellopark.ie.
