Making the most of Blackhawk bodyshop equipment

The popular Blackhawk brand of bodyshop equipment has enjoyed a successful year since the appointment of a new distributor for Ireland in February, despite the very challenging circumstances. Autobody, based in Clonmel, took on the Blackhawk agency and the man behind the business, Theo English says that progress has been good despite the problems caused by the pandemic.

Theo commented, “We have managed to make some significant installations this year even though it has been a tough one for many bodyshops, with the new range of Blackhawk welding equipment, which, includes mirco processor controlled Inverter Spot and MIG/MAG Welders, going especially well.”

Theo also stresses that when restrictions allow he is also very active servicing and calibrating Blackhawk equipment all over the country. Autobody provides a full sales, technical back-up, training and support service for Blackhawk and has fast access to a range of spares to quickly get problems solved. He comments, “The maintenance and calibration service is available to all bodyshops and regardless of equipment age, we can usually provide assistance. In many cases we can offer servicing and software upgrades to give equipment a completely new lease of life, or in some cases there may new techniques that can be used with the equipment to open up new repair potential.”
