J&S Automotive is now distributing the well known and respected NRF brand of engine cooling and climate control components and systems, an area of the aftermarket that will offer significant business opportunities as technology develops.

NRF has been a leading manufacturer and supplier of cooling products for the automotive aftermarket since as far back as 1927. It has been at the forefront of technical development throughout its history and today provides a range of more than 10,000 engine cooling and climate control parts, which is constantly evolving to meet latest market requirements.

Gary Mooney, NRF brand specialist at J&S commented, “NRF is very well known as a radiator supplier, but the range now offers so much more, with intercoolers, oil coolers, rad fans, fan clutches, expansion tanks and thermostats all part of the engine cooling portfolio. As well as this, we can also offer access to a full range of products in the fast growing climate control sector, including; condensers, compressors, evaporators, heaters, receiver dryers, blowers, switches, A/C oils and more, with these products taking on special significance with the rise of hybrid and electric vehicles.”

More recently NRF has expanded its expertise and also offers high quality solutions in areas such as; EGR, coolant temperature and level sensors, exhaust gas temperature sensors and auxiliary water pumps and turbo hoses.

Gary says that there are now some 12,000 part numbers in total from NRF and these can all be accessed and made available quickly. J&S will also use its own market intelligence to ensure that some 2500 of the most commonly requested components are held in stock at their Dublin and Cork distribution centres for immediate delivery to local motor factors, helping to reduce vehicle downtime.

Gary also points out that as well as an outstanding range with excellent market coverage and renowned NRF product quality, the brand also benefits from comprehensive technical back-up and product support. He comments, “NRF tech support is second to none. As well as access to a vast array of technical bulletins and videos, if a mechanic has a question about the installation of an NRF part, he or she can directly contact a technical specialist from NRF via phone, WhatsApp or  e-mail. This means they can fit NRF products with complete peace of mind.”
