Fast crash for Veritas
Share:

There were lots of red faces around a Moenchengladbach car dealership recently, when a comedy of errors ended in a €300,000 supercar being wrapped around a German lamp post. A “display only” 420bhp Veritas RS III prototype was the car in question, which dealer staff strangely allowed to be taken for a drive by two admirers from the general public.

They almost immediately lost control of the car, that can go from 0-62mph in just 3.2 seconds, hitting the lamp post before getting into a panic and running off. Police later caught up with the embarrassed driver and passenger, leaving the red faced dealership staff to salvage the car and pick up a huge bill. Police said that the driver had grossly overestimated his driving skills.
